| Dr. Ronald L. Carter Information Session |
|
Dr. Carter, 13th President of Johnson C Smith University, held a reception and
information session in Washington D.C. about the transformation of JCSU. The session was well attended & received
by more than 120 D.C. area alumni/guests. Speeches, food, the question & answer session, and overall ambiance were
great. The evening session was held on Thurs., December 8, 2011 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
Mr. Grover Smith '70, President of the National Alumni Association provided the Welcome. Mr
Robert Ridley '99, President of The Metro DC Alumni Chapter moderated the Questions and Answers segment.

Greetings Smithites and Visitors. In the 1930's, some 80 years ago, a small group of men from Johnson C. Smith
University (JCSU) began meeting in Washington, DC to reminisce about their days at JCSU. The founding fathers of this
JCSU Alumni Chapter came from among that group; they wanted to bring more JCSU attendees together to help the University.

| JCSU CHAPTER MEETING |
Next Chapter Meeting: will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 from 12:00 pm
- 2:00 pm at Sargent Memorial Presbyterian Church at 5109 Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave NE in Washington, DC 20019.
Thereafter, monthly meetings will be held on the Second Saturday of each month at the same time and
location.
